Dancing with Simplicity

Simple Living, Walking by Faith

Your Backstage Pass

Oct21#46I’m a small business owner with a longing for creativity and simple living. I’m a former dancer and ballet teacher, seeking to bring back some of the beauty of my time spent in the dance world. I hope you will join me in my pursuit of creativity and simple living. I don’t want this blog to be about me. I want it to be a place where the simple things in life come together.  Things like Crafts, Pets, Support for those with Chronic Illness, Bible and book resources, videos, recipes and more.  A tall order to fill, but with your contributions we can do it! Dancing with simplicity, walking in faith.

I invite you to follow along, as I try to bring together all the elements that belong in a simple, creative life of faith.

Things I love and have loved:

Growing up outside Cleveland Ohio. Lots of land, woods to play in. Perfect setting for using one’s imagination.

Resident of the great Southwest since 1970. Can you say chile?

Ballet, Dance, Musicals. From the first ballet lessons in first grade, through a theater degree with dance emphasis (U of Utah). Dance teachers right out of the history books.  And all that jazz…

Crafts: Sewing, pursuing fiber and paper arts. Sketching with my Dad. Trying to learn to knit and crochet. Yarn, fabric and pretty paper! Art and Bible Journaling!

Reading, reading, reading. The classics. Trips to the library. The Bible, and solid Biblical authors.

Baking, Christmas cookies with Mom. Trying to gain cooking skills!

Type I diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Insulin pumping, Graves disease. No, I don’t love them but I love educating people about them.

My critter children, all sent by God. Shaggy dog Gelsey, Golden retrievers, cats. My current angels Golden Morgan of Mountain Meadows, preceded by Bad Enough Boris and Darling Natasha. Mindy, the rescue dog who apparently is a Bichon Frise. Cats Humphrey and our late cat Levi.

My husband Jay. 34 years, and we’re just beginning! My Mom, my intercessor, my friend. My Dad, singing in the Heavenly choir.

And studying God’s Word. Through BSF, Precept studies, Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and beyond.Current volunteer with Saddleback church online Facebook community (Pastor Rick Warren, Facebook Online Campus Community Group.) Former volunteer with Proverbs 31 Ministries Online Bible Studies (OBS). Walking in simple solid faith, learning to know Him better.  Meditating on the Word, and life in general.  Often unable to put into words exactly what He is showing me. Futile yet sincere attempts at sharing His greatness, His Word, His plan.

Psalm 119:77 (MSG)
77
Now comfort me so I can live, really live; your revelation is the tune I dance to.
